ACCE News is an official newsletter of the American College of Clinical Engineering ACCE. Our ACCE Newsletter containing articles on research, strategies, philosophies, trends, and success stories in Clinical Engineering is available 6 times a year. It provides practical information useful to professionals in a variety of fields, including healthcare technology providers, IT professionals, and advocates.
ACCE Newsletter Guidelines
Author guidelines:
Contributions to the ACCE newsletter are always welcome.
First-time authors, please provide a short bio, photo, full
name, title and e-mail address.
The newsletter features technical articles, case studies, coverage
of controversial issues, opinion pieces, CE department profiles, CE certification
practice questions, new discoveries, information on unique ways of doing things,
and
other Clinical Engineering-related material.
The length and formatting guidelines for submitted articles are
as follows:
- ACCE
Committee reports: Half page (~400 - 500 words).
- ACCE
Newsletter regular columns: About one page (~800 - 1000 words) (e.g., ECRI
Perspectives, President’s column, HTF Update, International CE News, AAMI
Update).
- Featured articles:
About 2 pages (~1,600 – 2,000 words). Please contact the editor (editor@accenet.org) if you
have an idea for a feature article.
- Other
articles: 800-1000 words. Please contact the editors in advance with a brief
description of the article and its proposed length.
- Articles
longer than those listed above will be returned to the author for
re-editing.
- Articles
should be provided in simple text with minimal to no formatting. The
editors will be formatting the text to fit the style guidelines of the
newsletter.
- Photos:
- Provide each
photo as a separate file.
- Provide
photos in a high-resolution format (e.g. jpg format with 300 dpi
horizontal and 300 dpi vertical).
- Provide
within the text of your article a caption for each photo and identify
people in photos using first and last names.
- Usually a
maximum of two photos per article will be included but you can provide
more than 2 and the editor will select which photos to use. Note: The
editors may make exceptions to the 2 photo restriction (e.g., for
awards).
Please contact the editors to discuss any regular column ideas
or requests.
The editors reserve the right to edit
submissions, remove commercial or other inappropriate content, or hold content
for future issues.

Additional Edition guidelines:
This is a bi-monthly (every two months) newsletter normally
published the first week of each even month (e.g., February, April etc).
Each issue shall optimally be 16-20 pages long.
Guideline to submit Ads
- Full page ad: 7.5" width x 10" height
- 1/2 page ad: 7.5" width x 5" height
- 1/4 page ad: 3.75" width x 5" height
